Game objective
The basic principle of this game is simple: you must have a stronger hand than that of the dealer. You have the full advantage if you are familiar with how poker is played. But just the same, here is a list of hands that you can form in the game. The hands are arranged according to their value.
- Royal flush - This is the highest hand that you can form. A royal flush is made of 5 sequential cards (10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace) under the same suit. This should not be confused with the straight flush
- Straight flush - Any 5 sequential cards that under the same suit forms a straight flush. Its difference from the royal flush is that the latter is made up of cards that represent the royalty.
- 4 of a kind- You have four (4) identical cards from different suit and an extra card or a wild. For example, you have 4 Jacks and and 8.
- Full house - A combination of three of a kind and a pair
- Flush - 5 cards under the same suit. The cards do not have to be sequential
- Straight – 5 sequential cards from different suit
- Three of a kind – Three identical cards of different suit and 2 extra cards e.g. 3 queens, an Ace and a Jack
- Two pairs - This is self-explanatory.
- One pair - 2 identical cards from different suit
- High card – You have a high card if you cannot form any combination from the 5 cards that you receive. Your only advantage lies on the highest cards that you hold e.g, an Ace, 2, 8, 10 and 5 of different suits. In this hand, you can only rely on Ace since it has the highest value, thus the term high card.
